Spires & Shine provides domestic and end of tenancy cleaning services in Oxford and Oxfordshire. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect
When you contact us through the website, by phone, by email or on WhatsApp, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number and email address
- Your postcode and, once you book, your full address
- Details about your property, such as its size and the service you need
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your message
We do not ask for or store payment card details on this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary to run the business:
- FormSubmit, the service that delivers our website contact form to our inbox. Anything you type into the form passes through their systems.
- Our website host and email provider, who store the site and our messages.
- Google Fonts, which loads the typeface used on this site. Your device's IP address is shared with Google when a page loads.
- Our cleaners, who receive the details needed to attend your booking.
- Our accountant and HMRC, where required for tax and record keeping.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Records relating to completed work, including invoices, are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements. Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work, together with cookies set by our caching software to make pages load faster. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking or profiling cookies.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using the site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no reason to keep it
- Ask us to restrict or stop using it
- Object to us using it for our legitimate interests
- Ask for your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent to marketing at any time
To exercise any of these, email admin@spiresandshine.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
